Attractive foliage, shiny green and deeply veined. Five or more leaflets, the end ones in a set of three. All are elliptical and pointed at end. Leaf segments are seen between the leaflets.
Slender spike of yellow 1/4 to 1/2 inch flowers (raceme) Burr-like seed pods are on the raceme with last flowers.
