Flower Description
1/2 to 1 foot tall, Spring flowering
Rosette of smooth, lance shaped 1/2-2 ” long basal leaves with a single prominent vein. Leaves are white and hairy underneath.
Plant produces compact, fuzzy flower tufts on a short, fuzzy stalk during the spring. Seed heads are also fuzzy tufts and are distributed by the wind. They resemble small, hairy toes–hence the name.
