Flower Description

Plant is 1-3′ tall, branching occasionally to frequently.

The light green stems are shiny and squarish.

The opposite leaves are up to 4″ long and 1″ across; they are light to medium green, lance shaped to oblong, shiny, and slightly serrated. The leaves clasp the stems. Leaf bases are round to heart shaped, while their tips are slender and pointed.

Individual two-lipped, pink to purple flowers about 1″ long are in the leaf axils of the middle and upper stems.
